If you’ve just been diagnosed with Addison’s or another auto-immune disease, chances are, you have questions! These are the questions most people have, and we’ll update as more come in!
Is the team at “Living With Addison’s” qualified to diagnose or treat our ailment?
-No. We’re not qualified. AT ALL. We are not health professionals. Collectively we have taken exactly zero hours of health-related courses in college
What is the purpose of this blog?
-To help individuals and their families live fulfilled lives after being diagnosed with a life-changing and incurable disease.
How can I help support people that have been diagnosed with a rare disease?
-Let them talk to you. Don’t pass judgment. Remember that although they may look fine on the outside, on the inside they are scraping and clawing and doing everything they can to hold on and “look fine”. Don’t try to fix them. Just support them. Counseling for the individual diagnosed and their spouse can be invaluable.
I have a question about Addison’s. How can I contact you?
Do you make money off of the “Living With Addison’s” blog?
